Years End

What a year!

I've been a bit MIA on my blog, I highly underestimated how much "free" time I would have with Baby Girl in the picture. Oh, please don't think I have been super mom and cleaning, cooking and rearing the perfect child.  My house is a wreck, I am always behind on laundry and well, homemade dinners are touch and go, but I would rather spend time playing with BG than cleaning.

Even with a messy house and frantic searches for clean underwear, I am so ridiculously sickeningly happy.  Today is the end of a great year and tomorrow is the start of what I can only predict will be an even greater year!

Today, I am off work and am at home with BG.  Right now she is taking a nap, the snow is falling outside and I am sipping on some delicious peppermint cocoa blogging with a very content smile and love in my heart.

Firsts!

I love firsts.  First love...first job...first baby.  :)

This weekend we took Sophia to her first Renaissance Fair!  Yes, I am a dork and love the Ren Fest!

It was an early start to the morning for this momma!  Up at 3:45 am, yes that is A.M not P.M, to get ready for garage sales at 5:15.  The army base close to us has two huge base wide garage sales each year.  Here is my loot!

Yes, that is a mini pink keyboard, most of the items still had tags on them!  All that for just under $40! Love it!

Right after the garage sales, I rushed home changed grabbed hubby and baby and headed to the Ren Fest!  It was a great time!  (See our friend Nick trolling our picture! LOL)

Our friends Chris and Sarah got her a cute jester hat! She wasn't very into at the moment though.

It was a great time and a very tiring weekend for me!  Sunday ended with cleaning up the house and a trip to Costco, the most wonderful place on earth! More on that later!

Weekend Recap!

What a weekend!  Well past two weekends, I am still getting used to trying to keep this blog going and raising the future leader of the world.

Last weekend we took Sophia to her first farmers market and it was great!

She did so well, even with all the street musicians and vendors yelling.  Got some yummy stuff, of course.  We made BLT's for lunch from our market finds and they were delish!

This weekend's festivities included a new washer, Amen, Hallelujah and can I get a witness?  Mom and dad were gracious enough to purchase it for us.  You know you are a grown up when you get excited about household appliances.

Sidenote:  It is amazing after all the "grown up" things I have accomplished in my life, nothing reminds you more that you are still someones child when they try and give you gas money.

A surprise visit to grandma and grandpa's house ended the weekend.  It was great to be able to see my brother and he was super excited to spend time with his niece.

Sounds like next weekend is visit from in laws and I couldn't be more excited!  We are going to celebrate husbands birthday (a week late, but better later than never!) and of course, snuggles from grandma and grandpa!

Back On The Wagon

Yup, it's time.  Time for this momma to get back in to shape!  I've rejoined the YMCA and starting to keep tabs on my eating a little closer.  I can't restrict my calories too much since I'm still nursing, but I can exchange that package of Oreos with some strawberries. I am so exited that I have signed up for some runs and can't wait to get started!

There are also a lot of events next year which means lots of pictures which means I need to look my best!  My 15 year high school reunion, 10 year wedding anniversary and a very dear friends wedding.  Also when baby girl turns one in April I am wanting to not only get her pictures but some family ones as well.

So I am basically going to feel like this next year.

There is also a biggest loser competition at work starting here pretty soon, I will definitely keep you all updated on that as well!!!  Time to get motivated!

And I'm back!

Well, it has been a while.  I decided to take a break from blogging to concentrate on making a human being.  Yessiree, I have created life and here she is

I know what you are thinking, "Oh my word, that is the most beautiful and intelligent baby in the world." And you are correct in feeling this way.  Feel your feelings readers.  Feel your feelings.
