Flirty Friday

Because my parents are in S. Korea visiting family (I keep talking about it, and am a little jealous can't you tell, hehe).  I am showing pictures of the Korean traditional dress called a Hanbok.  Hope you enjoy!

These are more traditional hanboks.

Here are more modern versions.

I love them all!!!

Happy Thoughts

Throwing some happy thoughts your way...

Hope you have a great day!!!

Watcha Watchin' Wednesdays

Have you ever wished for, prayed for or looked forward to something so much that you build it up in your head to the point that there is no way that it will ever live up to your expectations?

Well, dreams do come true.

It was the Britney Spears episode of GLEE.

It. Changed. My. Life.

Just watch this scene. (I'm not sure how legal this is since it is obviously not in the correct direction, but I had to share.)

I think I watched the whole episode with my mouth hanging open.  Heather Morris (Brittany S. Pierce) rocked  my face off.  I wish that I had just one ounce of the dance talent that woman has.

All the classic GLEE components were there.  Awesome quotes from Sue Sylvester.  Great dancing and singing by the oh so talented and very hot Mr. Schuester.  To sweeten the pot even more, a spectacularly handsome John Stamos was in the episode.

Uncle Jesse's still got it.  *sigh

I am so glad that husband remembered to DVR the episode since I had work late.  I might just watch this episode every day for the rest of my life.

Yes, the rest of my life.

It was that awesome.

You Are Beautiful

This song has quickly become one of my favorites.

It just reminds me that we should not put ourselves or others down but build ourselves and each other up.

Remember everyone, as the songs says,"...you are beautiful, just the way you are."

Weekend Recap

What a great weekend!!! I did not want it to end!

Started Friday night with a girly date with my friend Megan over at Life of Meg.  Went to see Easy A (very funny) and had some frozen yogurt with a side of girl talk.

Saturday morning came bright and early at 4 am to get ready for some serious garage sale'ing.  Got some super finds.  (Will blog more about that later.)

Saturday afternoon/evening was nephew's 3rd birthday party.  He might just be THE cutest little boy in the world.
See what I mean???  Don't you just wanna squeeze your monitor?
Oh yes, husband and his dad tilled, seeded and fertilized our front yard.  He definetely got some goody points for that!

Sunday was catch up day.  Early morning coffee and grocery shopping, which I love.  Nothing beats grocery shopping at 6:30 am.  Then some spot cleaning and laundry.

Football, football and some more football.

The fact that it was very cool weather wise reminded me that fall is here and made it quite possibly the perfect weekend.

Perfection.

What the French Toast?

Sigh, I really don't know how to begin this post, so I will just let you watch the video first.

It's not that I have anything against older women, "gettin' theirs", but come on.  This commercial just makes the website seem sleezy.  This is not the version that I saw on tv the other week, it is even worse than this one.  Yes, it is possible.

Here is the one I saw on tv, I could not find a better version so I apologize for the quality.

Sigh...

Come on people!  These are about as bad as the commercials that come on late at night.  You know what I'm talking about.  "Hi, I'm Candy, call me if you need someone to talk to."  Riiiiight Candy, I'm sure you just want to "talk".

In honor of my parents visiting the homeland (S. Korea), I thought I would show you some pictures of my beautiful country.

Flirty Friday

Alright folks, today's Flirty Friday is a very important one.  Muy importante!

Eyebrows.

Yes, eyebrows.  They are one of the most important accesories.  It is amazing how much grooming them can change the way your face looks.  I do confess, I am not the best at maintaining my face hedges.  As you can see in this photo.  Yes, they are real.

See the look of shame in my eyes?  I can't even look into the camera.

As many of you know, there are many different styles of eyebrows.  These are beautiful examples.

The following are some very major no no's.

Ok, so the only person I think that can get away with the bushy thick brows is Brooke Shields. Everyone else just needs to give it up.

On the other extreme, don't pluck them all off! You do need them!

This, is well, just...

Now, there is a set of rules to follow when doing eyebrows.  These pictures are a very simple illustration of the "template" of doing eyebrows.

I do pledge to take better care of my face lawn in the future.  *pinky swear

Let's do it keep American beautiful!!!
