Ladies and Gentlemen, today is the day.

SUPER BOWL XLV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a huge fan of football, college or pro, so watching the Super Bowl is a yearly must for me.  Although folks, this year is a very special game, my Green Bay Packers are taking down the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Shout out to my fellow cheeseheads and the Packer Nation!!!!!

I cannot wait!  It is going to be a great day!  Food, friends and football what could be better?!?!?!?!

Oh ya, Lea Michelle, Christina Aguilera and the Black Eyed Peas are performing, and of course GLEE!!!! Yes, GLEE is back with new episodes starting right after the Super Bowl.





I am in heaven and cannot wait! 

Golden Globes Recap

Happy Monday Everyone!

Anyone catch the Golden Globes Sunday night?  I did and it did not disappoint.  From all the beautiful gowns to the crazy host, I was very pleased!

Ricky, oh Ricky.

Everyone is talking about Ricky Gervais and how he insulted everyone and ticked off the Hollywood Foreign Press.  How could you book Ricky and not expect this?  Really? You know who he is, you know the types of jokes he tells, so why are you so surprised and upset?

I also wanted to touch upon one particular presenter,  Tilda Swinton.

Now, I don't ever remember watching her in a movie, and I'm not saying that she is a bad actress or anything like that.  But this woman freaks me out!  Especially after watching her present, something about the way she looked and her voice just rubbed me the wrong way.  There was no smile or any semblance of happiness to be there.  Did anyone see this?  Am I the only one who feels this way?

Moving on the pretty and fun part of the evening.  Dresses!!!! 

Here are some of my favorites!

Olivia Wilde, um hello Evening Dress Barbie!  Love it!

Natalie Portman.  I love dresses that show a baby bump!!!  Now, I know a lot of the "Fashion Police" did not like this dress, but I thought it was so cute.

Emma Stone.  Uh-flippin-mazing!  She went back to her roots and went blonde and looked fabulous!!!  That dress is killer!

Mila Kunis.  Gorgeous!!!  This emerald green is just perfect on her.

Now, here are some of my not so favorites.  I seemed to notice a "vintage" theme.  Not all vintage should be worn.  There were a lot of sparkle, shoulder pads and Designer Women-esque dresses.

Angelina Jolie.  I'm sorry, yes she may be the golden goddess of Hollywood, but I did not like this dress.  I was waiting for her to morph into Joan Collins circa the Dynasty Era. 

Michelle Williams.  Really?  It's not a bad dress, maybe an afternoon tea dress, but not a Golden Globes dress.

January Jones.  Sigh.  It's like she was at a call back for the Fifth Element The Sequel.  Not a good look. 

Now, those aren't all the best and worst, but just the ones that stood out for me.  I am adding one more photo, Michael Douglas.  As he went out onto the stage he was greeted by a standing ovation.  He then said,"There's got to be an easier way."  Welcome back Michael!

Who Knew!?!?!

Ok, I know I just did a post on Clean House, so I thought I would keep the reality show theme going. 

Remember Vanilla Ice?  For any of you youngsters reading this, I have included a video for your enjoyment.  Ok, mostly for my enjoyment, this was my jam back in the day.



Well, I'm glad this is a blog and not a vlog, 'cause I just broke it down old school during the video and I'm pretty out of breath. 

Moving on. 

Vanilla Ice has a reality tv show!  No, it is not another Surreal Life.  (You will need to find a clip of that on your own, because my blog doesn't deserve to have that shown on it.)  This show is on the DIY network and is called the Vanilla Ice Project.

He flips houses and apparently he is pretty gosh darn good at it.  Looks like this "lyrical poet" knows some stuff about contracting.  I watched a whole episode and well, he actually knew what he talking about.

Time For A Change

Anyone out there watch "Clean House"?

It is yet another reality tv show that I am hooked on.  There are big changes coming!  Niecy Nash is leaving!!!  Yes, yes I was very surprised and upset as much as you all were.

No need to fear though, a new host has been named.  Are you ready for this?

Tempestt Bledsoe!!!!

Yes, a Cosby child is going to be the new host of Clean House!  I grew up on the Cosby Show, so I am so excited!

Although, Niecy has left some big shoes er, flower hair pins to fill, but I have full faith that Tempestt Bledsoe will be awesome!

Another UH-mazing Performance!

Have I told you all how much I love GLEE????

Well, I do.  It pretty much rocks my face off.

Last night was no exception.  The episode dealt with bullying of all kinds.  Kurt and Beast were both bullied in different ways.  I do think everyone should watch the episode just to see how much bullying can take a toll on a person.

The most amazing part for me was the version of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream.  Blaine, Kurt's new interest on the show, performed with his group and blew my mind.  The harmonies on this uh-flippin-mazing!!!  They are so good, there are times when I can't tell if there is background music playing or if they are still acapella.   Makes me just wanna start a group and bust out in song randomly throughout the day!!!  Does anyone else have that dream, or is it just me? 

Just watch for yourself.

New Favorite Show!!!

So, how could I not have been watching How I Met Your Mother?????  How did I not know that this show was this funny????

The Lifetime channel started showing reruns and I was hooked from the first episode I saw.  I spent a whole weekend getting caught up on the seasons.  If you are not watching this show, you are missing something amazing!

One of my favorite parts of the show is watching Neil Patrick Harris who plays Barnie Stinson, a womanizer, a role he plays so well that at times I forget that he really doesn't dig the women species.  Which then in turn makes me sad.  Sigh, I will always heart you Doogie.


Bottom line, you need to watch this show! 

GAH!!!!

I am so excited!!! Tonight is the return of COCO!!!!

That's right folks, Conan O'Brien is returning to late night and I couldn't be happier.  I thought he got shafted pretty bad by NBC and Jay Leno.  I never liked Jay Leno, and I like him even less now.  Just go retire and drive your cars Jay. 

I am soooo Team Coco!!!  I cannot wait until 10pm, I will be laying in bed and watching the red headed wonder bring laughter into my life!

Watcha Watchin' Wednesdays

Have you ever wished for, prayed for or looked forward to something so much that you build it up in your head to the point that there is no way that it will ever live up to your expectations?

Well, dreams do come true. 

It was the Britney Spears episode of GLEE.

It. Changed. My. Life.

Just watch this scene. (I'm not sure how legal this is since it is obviously not in the correct direction, but I had to share.)



I think I watched the whole episode with my mouth hanging open.  Heather Morris (Brittany S. Pierce) rocked  my face off.  I wish that I had just one ounce of the dance talent that woman has.

All the classic GLEE components were there.  Awesome quotes from Sue Sylvester.  Great dancing and singing by the oh so talented and very hot Mr. Schuester.  To sweeten the pot even more, a spectacularly handsome John Stamos was in the episode.

Uncle Jesse's still got it.  *sigh

I am so glad that husband remembered to DVR the episode since I had work late.  I might just watch this episode every day for the rest of my life.

It was that awesome.

Whatcha Readin' Wednesdays

Ok, so I should have titled this post, "Whatcha Watchin' Wednesdays."

This is just short recap of the  flippin' amazing season premier of GLEE!

It did not disappoint.  Charice was the guest star and sang Listen from Dreamgirls.  Rocked it.  The new football quarterback sang Billionaire.  Rocked it.  The whole glee group did New York by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.  Uber rocked it.  There were more songs, but those were my faves from the night.

That is not the best part folks.  Oh no.  I knew she was gonna be on the show this season, but lo and behold next week's episode is the BRITNEY FLIPPIN' SPEARS episode.  I think I had a mild heart attack when they showed previews for the show. 

I'm not gonna lie, I like Britney.  All the Britneys.

Needless to say, I can't wait!

LOVE IT!!!

OK, so after my huff and puff of a blog entry earlier, I thought it would be a nice change of pace to talk about something so amazing, so mind blowing, that I can't believe I haven't written about it earlier.

GLEE!

Yes, I am hooked.  No, obsessed, wait, infatuated, with this show.  This is how I wish my life was.  (Much to the chagrin of everyone around me)  Anytime something is going on, happy, sad, or mad, just sing and dance it out.  This is the second season of this incredible morsel of television, and it is turning out to be hilarious!  There have been so many witty quotes so far, and they are so delightful that I am starting to incorporate them into my daily vocabulary.  Each episode is a delightful little piece of heaven, a magical world full of love that I can go to each Tuesday at 8:00pm. 

If you have not watched this show, then, well, you are just missing out.  Yes, yes, yes, I have been told that some songs should not be redone in this manner, and some have said the redoing Van Halen's Jump was just atrocious.  But, you know what? I don't care!  I love the fact that every single genre of music is represented in this show.  And, I love to sing along to them.  Loudly.  Thank goodness for whoever invented DVR.  I do believe that DVR was invented for the sole purpose of being able to record GLEE! and watch it over and over and over again.

So I will say it once again.  Watch GLEE!
