Puppy Love!!!

Gaaahhh!!!!
I love puppies!!!!  Well, all dogs in general, I just call them puppies.  :)  Tonight after a wonderful girly date with my amazing friend Megan ( who by the way has an awesome blog that you need to check out).  We stopped by a great store called Land of Paws and played with a beagle puppy.  (Insert contented sigh here.)
If I haven't stated before, I have two babies.  Missy and Snoopy.  Missy is my toy poodle and Snoopy is my beagle.  (I know, real original, Snoopy is beagle.)
They are just perfect!!!  Yes, I am biased and I don't care. Snoopy is 6 and Missy is 4.  Even though Missy is 11 lbs., she rules the roost.  Anyone else out there with toy poodles will probably attest to that fact as well.
Well, going back to Land of Paws, there was the second cutest beagle puppy in the world! His name was Beau, and I wanted to take him home!  I almost started singing, "How much is that doggie in the window??".  He is just too cute for words.  Meg and I had the best time, because we were able to take him out and play for a bit, and let me tell you, I had to leave otherwise we would have had three doggies in the house.  So, for your viewing pleasure, I am going to bless your eyes with the cuteness that is Beau.  See, here is my beautiful friend Megan, and Beau.  Awwwwwww!!!!!
Thank you to Megan for having a great "date night" with me!!!  And Beau, I hope you go to a great home that will give you all the love in the world!!!  Anyone out there thinking of getting a dog, do it!  Although research first please, and then go out and get the dog that calls to you.  It's almost like getting a wedding dress.  You will just "know" when you get that perfect style and fit.

Say Whaaaaaa.....

Gross.

Just gross.

There are just no other word to describe this new KFC Double Down "sandwich".  I use the word sandwich very loosley considering that this "sandwich" is a few pieces of cheese with bacon, and instead of bread, no no, there are two breaded chicken breasts. I repeat, it is a "sandwich" with two breaded chicken patties as the bun.
Now, I am gonna let that sink in for a minute.
Really? Really?
Was someone high as a kite and thinking of what munchies they wanted and came up with this monstrosity that people are putting into their bodies?????  Now, don't get me wrong, I am all for yummy junk food and I do have strange cravings.  But come on!  None of my go to comfort foods can give me a heart attack from just smelling the darn thing.  Here is the description from their website, "The new KFC Double Down sandwich is real! This one-of-a-kind sandwich features two thick and juicy boneless white meat chicken filets (Original Recipe® or Grilled), two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of Monterey Jack and pepper jack cheese and Colonel's Sauce. This product is so meaty, there’s no room for a bun!"
Did you notice the "It's Here!" wording?  As if the whole world was waiting with baited breath until this magnificent creature came into fruition. Also the description from the website says, "...it's real..", as if the company can't believe they created this...this..."sandwich".
I mean, I guess if you are on Atkins then this "sandwich" is a godsend.  I feel like I am having a heart attack just writing about the darn thing.  Um, hello clogged arteries!
Now, I am not trying to bash KFC,  I do love me some 10 piece bucket with biscuits.  But, where does the line stop? I guess this is one thing that I am just never going to understand.

What's Making Me Laugh...

Ok, I just had to post that I am in love with these Old Spice commercials!  Almost up there with the classic "Real Men of Genius" from Bug Light.  So, I am just posting some videos so you can partake as well in what's making me laugh.

Enjoy.  :)

LOVE IT!!!

OK, so after my huff and puff of a blog entry earlier, I thought it would be a nice change of pace to talk about something so amazing, so mind blowing, that I can't believe I haven't written about it earlier.

GLEE!

Yes, I am hooked.  No, obsessed, wait, infatuated, with this show.  This is how I wish my life was.  (Much to the chagrin of everyone around me)  Anytime something is going on, happy, sad, or mad, just sing and dance it out.  This is the second season of this incredible morsel of television, and it is turning out to be hilarious!  There have been so many witty quotes so far, and they are so delightful that I am starting to incorporate them into my daily vocabulary.  Each episode is a delightful little piece of heaven, a magical world full of love that I can go to each Tuesday at 8:00pm.

If you have not watched this show, then, well, you are just missing out.  Yes, yes, yes, I have been told that some songs should not be redone in this manner, and some have said the redoing Van Halen's Jump was just atrocious.  But, you know what? I don't care!  I love the fact that every single genre of music is represented in this show.  And, I love to sing along to them.  Loudly.  Thank goodness for whoever invented DVR.  I do believe that DVR was invented for the sole purpose of being able to record GLEE! and watch it over and over and over again.

So I will say it once again.  Watch GLEE!

Oh, come on!!!!

Gaaaahhhh!!!

You ever have one of those days where everything just seems to go wrong???  Well, I seem to be having one of those months.  Everything I do or say, just seems to come right back and bite me in the "you know what".  I always things I am doing the right thing, but nooooo, it always turns out to be the totally wrong thing to do. So then, I try and "fix" things (I use that word very loosely), it just seems to get worse.  Then of course people (my friends) get hurt, and then I feel as if the whole situation is my fault and then I blame myself and feel guilty and want to try and fix things even more, which of course makes things even worse than before and then in turn continuting the vicious cycle.
 *Sigh*
So, the only thing I can do, is find a neutrel third party friend and talk it out.  Otherwise, in the mind of me, things fester and grow and then turns into an ugly monster who wants out and pretty soon, I can't control it.  So, one day it will just appear out of knowhere and cause even more problems.  Blah!  Then, I just want to scream.
So that is what I am doing here.
Screaming.
In a blog.
And now, feeling a bit better, thank you.

Where is my umbrella ella ella?

Ahhhh rain.  I do love rainy days!!! Well, it has been rainy or misty for about the last week here in the great midwest.  I get so excited about a rainy day, especially when I don't have to do anything.  Waking up to the sounds of rain against the house and knowing that I can just relax and take my time. Today  is the first day of sunshine in about a week and the weather is still cool.  Awesome running weather I say.
It is severe weather season so it's time to expect a lot of rain and storms.  Which I love as well!!!!  I love the lighting and thunder and the wierd green color everything turns when you know there is going to be a big storm coming your way.  The eerie quite that comes right before it starts to blow like mad and it feels as if all hell is about to break loose. All those in the midwest know what I'm talking about.
Now, I don't wish for tornadoes or for any major damage to happen.  For some reason the storms are fascinating to me.  So, I am super excited when the meteorologists start talking about predicted forecast for this years storm season.  (Yes, I know, i'm a dork) So bring it on storms!  I will be waiting.

Seasons Change

A comment from a co-worker prompted me to start thinking of change.  Also because of the fact that we just moved into a new (well sort of) office building downtown.  We basically just combined offices with our corporate office.  It is kind of new since they renovated everything and it looks very very nice!  Anyways, back to the comment that I heard, which was that ,"People don't like change."  Which made me think, why?

I'm not sure if my upbringing has any role in this, but change really doesn't bother me.  Being an army brat, we moved a lot, not as much as others, but quite a bit.  I always looked forward to it.  Yes, it was sad to leave friends that I had made, but I always ended up making more.  It was always a new adventure, a chance to learn something new, and explore our new home.  So, maybe that has something to do with the fact that I actually welcome change.

I do understand why change can be hard, when you are so used to something and then all of a sudden something comes along to disrupt your happy routine, then yes it can be traumatizing.  Believe me, I do have my routines and I like them just fine, but when it changes unexpectedly, it doesn't upset me.  Although there are people who just cannot seem to cope with change.  Which begs the question, "Why?"

So, I guess this entry has no ending, just a little question to get you thinking and maybe stir up some lively water cooler chat besides what happened on American Idol the night before.  :)
