Today is the beginning of the third week of my "Biggest Loser" contest at work.
To be quite honest I am pretty scared about the weigh in, I was doing so good, but alas, holiday fever got the best of me and I had a chili dog yesterday on Memorial Day. The last time I weighed I was down 7 lbs. Not as much as I would had liked, but pretty consistent at about 2 lbs a week, which really is a healthy rate.
I have started picking up my workouts, I am slowly getting back to where I used to be and can definitely see the progress. My body seems to remember how much fun I use to have working out. I am doing my daily doggy walks (which is about 30 minutes and amounts to close to 2 miles, can't really go too fast with doggies "marking" their territory all the time). I am keeping up with my running and throw in a random cardio workout to keep it interesting. Also doing my Pilate's on a daily basis, it is only 20 minutes, so I'm not killing myself, but it does the job.
All in all, I am right on track, this whole contest was really a fun way to try and jump start my weight loss again. I was in a rut and was pretty stagnant at a certain weight for a few weeks, so I am very glad that I have been able to get it going again.
We will soon see who the biggest loser is, and really, as long as all of us girls who are doing this lose any amount of weight, then we really did accomplish something amazing.
